A pasty teenage girl moves to the rainiest town in the continental USA and falls for a vampire who is permanently in high school. Sometimes tedious, mostly derivative, and occasionally unintentionally funny. It’s a conventional teenage love story with some nasty vampires added to liven things up. I’ve never read Stephanie Meyer’s book, and I wonder if it is as awkwardly plotted as the movie. Twilight is not as good as Let the Right One In or Buffy The Vampire Slayer for vampire romance, but it is also not the worst vampire film out there (but that is no great claim).
